History

The Mi-Ki is a new breed, recently developed in the Milwaukee area, in the middle to late 1980's. We believe that the Mi-Ki's background comes from the Japanese Chin, that gives them their shortened nose, long haired turned up tail and eye set. The Papillon which contributed their high intelligence and lovable manner. The Maltese gives them their beautiful coat. The Shih Tzu was added which gives their non-shed coat, and variety of colors. A papillon/Yorkshire Terrier was added to give them their petiteness.
